I excel in working with children with behaviors and trauma; crisis intervention is my primary interest currently. I can engage and assist with de escalating situations, to give them the chance to articulate what they are trying to say and facilitating/supporting the understanding for all parties involved. I find enjoyment working with these individuals and being part of their team to get them to reach their goals. The line of work can be challenging in a lot of ways but I’m a strong advocate and understand the functions behind the behaviors that attempt to discover the antecedents behind them. I have experience in social work, educational, and as a registered behavioral technician. All three of these have allowed me to understand the population better. I enjoy working with families and helping them grow while expanding experiences and opportunities.
